Austin Di Pietro is a multidisciplinary artist, composer, and arranger with experience working in a variety of musical styles and settings. He holds a B.Mus from the University of Windsor and a Masters degree from Wayne State University where he specialized in Jazz Trumpet performance. In addition to his work as a gigging musician, he also studied regional musical styles and contemporary arranging techniques while at Wayne State. Austin performs regularly in both Windsor and Detroit with various jazz and pop groups, and is an active composer of original works spanning multiple genres. A sought-after session musician, he has gained a reputation as a versatile musician. He is one half of the indie singer-songwriter duo, The Bishop Boys, whose studio recordings have garnered local and international media attention and received praised for their trademark unison vocals, poetic lyricism, and rich instrumental textures.
