Violinist Andrew Wu is Concertmaster of Orchestra Sono, a newly formed ensemble based in the Birmingham Bloomfield area, and has been a member of the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra since 2004. Additionally, Andrew performs as a substitute musician with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and performs with the Baldwin Ensemble presenting educational and outreach programs for the community.
During his time away from the violin, Andrew can be found in the glassblowing studio at Michigan Hot Glass Workshop, or at the wheel in the Ceramics department of the BBAC. Andrew’s work has been featured at the Janice Charach Gallery, the Posterity Gallery, and Prism gallery. His work is currently on view in a special exhibit at the Toledo Arts Commission now through November 18.
