Born in Sudbury, raised in Orillia, Autumn Debassige is a singer, music teacher and theatre performer of First Nations heritage based in Southern Ontario.

Since February 2021, Autumn has been part of the team behind NewWerx Productions  — a brand new, not-for-profit theatre company which aims to provide creative entertainment and education in multiple art forms with strong attention to Canadian diversity and inclusion.

Outside of NewWerx, Autumn has designed concerts for Mnidoo Mnising Sharing and Learning Centre for All on Manitoulin Island and for the Stephen Leacock Museum in Orillia, ON.  She has appeared on stage at Niagara’s Oh Canada Eh Dinner Theatre for a remount of their production Broadway Showstoppers; and with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in their concerts Wild,Wild West and Fiddlin’ Around.  In addition, she works as a freelance soloist for churches in Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge.

Autumn is a proud alumna of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Faculty of Music (2016) and of St. Clair College’s Music Theatre Performance program (2019).
