Dawn Hrycak-Popovic started playing violin with the Windsor Symphony while pursuing a Masters of Music degree in violin performance and literature at the University of Western Ontario. Shortly after graduating, she landed a full time position with the WSO and has played in the capacity of assistant concert master as well as a section player for over the last 25 yrs. She has had the honour of sitting concert master for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada’s tours of Japan and Europe as well as sitting concertmaster for the National Orchestral Institute in Maryland. She also took part in  tours with the Jeunesse Musicale World Orchestra as the only North American violinist for 2 tours in Europe. She also enjoyed playing with the National Repertory Orchestra in Colorado as both a member of the orchestra and in the capacity as a soloist for two summers. Dawn is proud to be a full-time oncology/palliative care coordinator at Home and Community Care Health Services. Dawn is especially honoured to be playing this concert with the 4th wall as she has a special place in her heart for those who have Autism.
