Kate Reynolds is an openly autistic, queer, and multiply disabled children’s librarian, writer, and singer based in Windsor, Ontario. Finally diagnosed with autism in 2020, Kate believes that her life began the moment she understood she was autistic and shares her story in the hope that it helps others find and accept themselves.

In July 2021, while recovering from surgery, Kate created a Facebook Group called Storytime Solidarity. In November 2021 they launched a website: www.storytimesolidarity.com with a global team. As of March 2022 Storytime Solidarity has grown to 4.3k members and works in partnership with Library For the Kind

Kate holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Windsor as well as a Masters degree of Arts in Musicology from Western University and a Masters degree of Library and Information Science from Western University. She has worked full-time as a Permanent Public Service Librarian at Windsor Public Library since 2012.
