Cellist Peter Wiebe, M Music (Performance)
Peter graduated from Western University and joined the Windsor
Symphony Orchestra (WSO) as a member of its core in 1987.
Between 2005 and 2018 he was also the WSO’s assistant/associate
conductor, as well as the conductor of the Windsor Symphony
Youth Orchestra and Community Orchestra. He has arranged or
composed over 200 pieces for orchestra and chamber ensembles at
the WSO. His arrangements have also been played by several
symphony orchestras including Cincinnati, Detroit, Winnipeg, and
Victoria. Wiebe and his wife Ruth reside in Windsor, and along with
their six children are all active musicians. Peter is one of the WSO
musicians who work in the Music and Medicine program overseen
